About the conference
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES AND SCIENTIFIC SCOPE
At the beginning of the second quarter of the 21st century—by the middle of which progressive “green” economies, including both developed countries and the dynamically developing states of Central Asia, BRICS+, and the EAEU, have planned to implement large-scale decarbonization—the importance of climate change mitigation initiatives has significantly increased. At present, all the necessary prerequisites have been formed for the global community to embark on the path of climate-resilient development.
Environmental prerequisites are associated with the fact that an unfavorable environment and climate change exert a profound impact on various types of economic activity. This compels economic actors to adapt to the new ecological reality and to adopt climate-resilient economic practices. Examples include climate-smart agriculture, clean energy, and industrial production with reduced waste, including carbon emissions.
Technological prerequisites stem from the advent of the Fifth Industrial Revolution, which has brought about the expansion of Industry 5.0. Its “smart” technologies open up even broader opportunities for addressing climate change. These breakthrough technologies enhance the productivity of economic processes, increase their energy efficiency, and make possible their carbon neutrality by reducing the overall carbon footprint of the economy.
Socio-economic prerequisites are driven by the growing number of “green” communities, the high and continuously increasing popularity of environmentally responsible consumption, the significant and expanding “green” segment of the labor market, and the formation of sustainable green supply chains. In this context, the contemporary world has reached a broad consensus on the necessity of economic decarbonization and on engaging both business structures and the wider public in combating climate change.
Problem Statement and Conference Goals
The key problem lies in the fact that in the existing body of literature, the environmental, technological, and socio-economic aspects of climate-resilient development in modern economic systems are studied separately. This fragmented approach results in an incomplete scientific understanding of the essence and prospects of such development. To address this problem, the present conference has been organized with the aim of shaping a holistic model of the planet that unites climate, technology, and society.
To conceptualize this model, the conference proposes the use of an innovative scientific framework—Climate Economy 5.0—defined as a socio-economic system in which the fight against climate change is pursued through climate-resilient technologies of Industry 5.0. Furthermore, the conference introduces the contextual dimension of Neoglobalization 5.0, understood as a form of globalization that encourages decarbonization, green economic growth, and climate change mitigation within the realities of the Fifth Industrial Revolution.
The conference actively encourages the participation of international research teams and welcomes multidisciplinary studies and presentations at the intersection of natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and economics. Special emphasis is placed on in-depth exploration of such concepts and practical phenomena as:
Climate Economy 5.0,
Climate change mitigation in the information society under the conditions of Neoglobalization 5.0,
Climate-resilient technologies,
Development of “green” human capital in the knowledge economy.
The conference also fosters discussion of international experiences, with particular attention to the development of Climate Economy 5.0 in dynamically developing countries of Central Asia, BRICS+, and the EAEU.
Conference Aim and Objectives:
To develop a scientific and theoretical model of the planet as a unified system of climate, technology, and society, along with methodological tools and comprehensive applied solutions for highly effective climate change mitigation and environmental protection in the context of the modern information society and digital economy, employing climate-resilient technologies of Industry 5.0.
The international scientific and practical conference ‘The Planet as a Unified Model: Climate, Technology, Society’ is organized by Osh State University (Kyrgyzstan) and the Institute of Scientific Communications (Russia) / INK Group LLC (Republic of Armenia) and will be held on 24 September 2025 in Osh at the OshSU (Kyrgyz Republic). To ensure broad coverage of the subject area and provide a comprehensive solution to the problem at hand, the conference will be held in a multidisciplinary format, inviting representatives from various fields of scientific knowledge: philosophy, social sciences and humanities, economics, agriculture, law, ecology, and technology, among others.
Participation in the conference is possible both in the form of presentations and as listeners and participants in discussions in the relevant sections. Anyone interested in climate, technology and society issues, combating climate change and protecting the environment in the context of the modern information society and digital economy using Industry 5.0 technologies is welcome to attend: university professors and lecturers, students, master's students, PhD students, representatives of government agencies and businesses. The official languages of the conference are Russian, Kyrgyz and English. The conference will be held in person, with the possibility of online presentations.
